Carrots are often thought of as the ultimate health food, jam packed with vitamins A, K, C and calcium (to name a few). They provide protection against heart disease and stroke, while helping you build stronger bones & a healthy nervous system.
Ginger is an herb that is used not only as a spice but also for its therapeutic qualities. It is effective in alleviating gastrointestinal distress, inflammation and intestinal gas. It also possesses beneficial properties with antioxidant effects to decrease inflammation.
Parsley provides carotenoids and packed with a few known anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory phytonutrients and flavonoids (lutein, zeaxanthin, apiole, rutin and apigenin). It is rich with chlorophyll, vitamin A, B, C, and K, folate and iron. It also contains beneficial mineral contents, including calcium, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, potassium, sodium, vanadium, and zinc.
Mangoes are packed with a variety of nutrients, including: vitamin C, vitamin A, folate, vitamin B-6 and vitamin K, potassium, copper, calcium and iron, as well as antioxidants such as zeaxanthin and beta-carotene. Ingredients
- 3 medium carrots, chopped (& peeled if desired)
- 2 cups coconut water
- 1/2 large mango
- 1 navel orange (or 1/2 cup orange juice)
- 2-3 tbs fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4-1/2″ fresh ginger
Instructions
- Wash and dry all of the ingredients.
- Once you prepare all of the ingredients, simply place them into a blender and blend until smooth.
