20 Feb 6-Ingredient Stovetop Granola {oil- & gluten-free}
If you don’t have an oven, or you are too lazy to use the oven, you’re in the right place. This stovetop granola only requires 1 pan, a stirring utensil and 6 simple ingredients — that’s it.
This recipe was inspired by one of my best friends who recently went vegan. She had never and still doesn’t often cook for herself, but after going vegan and being more independent in regards to her diet, she decided that eating out was getting 1. too expensive 2. too unhealthy. She was fearful of the oven, and at first only chose to rely on a microwave, but slowly but surely she began to confidently attempt cooking on her stove.
I have been helping her slowly get more comfortable in the kitchen, and I suggested she try making granola. Baking granola in the oven for her was daunting, although simple in regards of recipes, so I decided to make it a bit more easy and approachable so that she could make it with confidence at home.Consider the ingredients of this recipe a base, so feel free to have fun with this and add your own special twist! You could add things like chocolate chips, vegan marshmallows, various nuts and seeds, swap raisins for cranberries, seriously anything you want or have to use up in your pantry.
We served ours with some almond milk and frozen blueberries, and we also love layering it into vegan yogurt parfaits!

- Cuisine: Vegan
Ingredients
- 1 cup gluten-free rolled oats
- 1/4 cup nuts of choice, roughly chopped (I used almonds)

- Almond milk
- Fresh or frozen fruit (I used frozen blueberries)
Instructions

- Add in the almonds and toast for another 3-4 minutes, stirring often, until the oats are fragrant and lightly browned.

Posted at 03:36h, 23 FebruaryI am soooo excited to make this for my brother. He loves cereal so much and that is kind of what is holding him back from becoming vegan.

Posted at 11:16h, 24 FebruaryThere are many vegan cereals available at the store as well, even some that are “accidentally vegan” if he would be interested in that. Peta has a lot of that on their website <3
