12 Jul June Favorites | His & Hers {Vegan Couple}
Chris and I have started a series on our Youtube channel sharing a round up of our favorites of the month, and I realized that we haven’t been sharing this with our blog family as well! There were items we both loved + items we loved individually, and we hope that you get to try some of these things out — here is to the start of many monthly favorites to come!
La Croix (Chris) – I was never a huge fan of sparkling water, until I tried La Croix! Honestly, the taste made me gag, but one day I decided to give this a shot. I was pleasantly surprised with the flavor, but what really did it for me was the warm fuzzy feeling the carbonation gives you after drinking. I haven’t tried all of the flavors (yet), but Lime has been a favorite along with strawberry pineapple.
Vegan Power Co La Croix Sticker (Chris): A small vegan small business that makes awesome vegan swag, with proceeds going to Animal Welfare charities. One of their stickers is a play off of the La Croix can and it is genius!
Go Macro (Jasmine): To be honest, I wasn’t a huge fan of these bars when I first tried them. I actually thought they were something I would never pick up again, but after the recommendation from so many of you on my Instagram to give them another shot, I did. And, let’s just say that now I can’t seem to put them down 😛 My favorite flavors are the sunflower & chocolate and the cashew caramel! ANI Brand Vegan Shoes (Chris & Jasmine): I’m really enjoying the classic look of the black slip-on’s. It reminds me of vans, but with a much more comfortable feel. Also, when it comes to how they’re ethically sourced and made, I can’t think of a better shoe brand to support! You can use the code “sweetsimplevegan” for a 10% discount!
Chocolate Covered Caramel Balls from Cocomels (Chris): (Not available yet but linked are similar options) – I first tried these at Expo West 2017 and was pleased with the rich flavor from the combination of chocolate and caramel. Both the vanilla and sea salt flavors are delicious in their own right, and make for the perfect treat whether it be on your ice cream sundae, or on their own. I’m not one to always have a sweet tooth, but when I find a treat like this, it’s hard to stop eating.
Stasher Bag (Jasmine): I have been working to be as close to zero waste as possible, or at least decreasing my environmental footprint, and something that I have found is that I am constantly using ziploc bags for leftovers, freezer goods, etc. It is such a waste to use these once and toss them, so I went on a hunt to look for a more eco friendly option and discovered these amazing bags. I order mine from Thrive Market, where it’s 25% off!
The Matcha Reserve (Jasmine): I love matcha lattes, but I don’t love the price tag they come with so it was either stop drinking them or find a better solution. The Matcha Reserve gave me the opportunity to try out their matcha and their matcha kit (which I was completely new to) and I have been quite hooked on it all month long as it is so easy to make and better for my wallet. You can use the discount code “sweetsimplevegan” for 15% off!
Resistance Bands (Jasmine): For a while I felt like my gym routine was same old same old, so I tried switching up the exercises I did but I couldn’t really feel the challenge I wanted to. I discovered resistance bands from a few fitness youtube channels I follow, and I couldn’t recommend adding them into your gym routine more. They add an extra challenge that you wouldn’t be able to get otherwise and have helped me feel that soreness I love after a good leg day.
Crystal Grid (Chris): – This was gifted to me by the founder of Vegan Cuts, who also runs the subscription box Goddess Provisions. This Crystal Grid was featured in one of their boxes recently, and she was nice enough to share one with me on a recent work trip. I’ve been collecting crystals for quite sometime now, so I am looking forward to utilizing this tool to fully harness the power they bestow.
CHARM (Chris & Jasmine): If you’ve ever had a puppy, you’d know that they have the tendency of getting to (and destroying) quite a few things in your house. If you didn’t experience that, you are blessed haha but with Berry it was a bit difficult. One thing he LOVES is our comforter, and he got to and destroyed our previous one. Chris and I wanted to upgrade, but we also wanted to buy and ethical and eco friendly product. We discovered Charm and immediately knew it was exactly what we wanted. You can use the code “sweetsimplevegan” on their website to get $25 off the CHARM Comforter and free shipping)
