Instead of tossing your papaya seeds after eating the fruit, make use of them! A lot of people don't know that you can actually use the Papaya Seeds. There are tons of recipes online, which utilize the ingredient for its peppery flavor. Give it a try! You can dry the seeds and use them just as you would peppercorns. Or, make a face mask! This is super simple, and you only need 2 ingredients. Raw Vegan Papaya Seed & Coconut Oil Facial sweetsimplevegan.com

September Favorites- sweetsimplevegan.com 1. Savour This Kitchen Spice Blends A Los Angeles based company making gourmet vegan + gluten-free products. They currently sell sauce + these spice blends! I have only tried their spice blends so far, and I highly recommend them. I am not a classically trained chef, and something I have a hard time with is blindly seasoning dishes. I am still learning which spices and herbs mix well with specific ingredients, so these spice blends were actually perfect for me! They are balance to perfection in regards to the different components within each, and they all provide a unique flavor punch that I promise can bring any dish together. Merchant is perfect for curry-type dishes, Gypsy I have found to be the perfect addition to Homemade Supefood Chocolate Bark and Coffee Substitutes, Nomad is perfect atop Avocado Toast,  and try sprinkling Seafarer into your vegan sushi before rolling it up. beet chips The first time I ever tried beet chips was at the Hollywood Farmer's Market here in LA on Sundays. I sampled a ton of different beet chips, sweet and savory, and I fell in love. The chips were definitely overpriced, but at the time I did not have a dehydrator and assumed that that was the only way I could get my hands on these beautys. Well, I was wrong! This recipe uses the oven and will get you the same delicious and crispy beet chips that I fell in love with. I know that most of you do not have dehydrators, so I created a recipe that we all can make! If you DO want to use a dehydrator, review the note on the recipe just in case :)

Leftover Lentil Sandwich Bread + Avocado ToastLeftover Lentil Sandwich Bread + Avocado Toast The other day when my mom and I were making my Quinoa, Lentil and Arugula Salad together, we got a little carried away in our conversation and we forgot about our red lentils cooking on the stove. If any of you have ever cooked red lentils, you will know that they will turn into mush if overcooked. We were going to make the salad with red lentils for the first time but, well, that didn't happen. Leftover Lentil Sandwich Bread + Avocado Toast
