Beauty

This month I was given the opportunity to review a Vegan Cuts Beauty Box, and I decided to have a bit of fun with it and do a video unboxing (below), and even have my boyfriend's help in trying out all of the products. He did my makeup and, well, let's just say that won't be happening ever again... I am not a beauty guru/blogger, and I am not well versed in the realm of make up, so this box was perfect for me in that I was able to try out sample sizes of all that was included. One of the reasons why I am not so into purchasing and trying out new vegan beauty products, especially make up, is that I do not want to spend a whole lot on full sized products that I'm not sure I will love or use often. I definitely recommend the beauty box to those in the same shoes as me, or even those who are skilled in make up but want to save a few bucks. Even if it's a one month purchase and not a recurring subscription that you go for, do it!

Although there are a lot of brands and products included in this post, I want to ensure you all that this post is not sponsored, and all of the opinions shared are my own. It has taken me quite a while to round up these products, I am constantly coming across new vegan, natural, minimal ingredient brands to try out, and more often than not I am finding myself loving each one! I decided that I would list the ingredients on this post as well. I know that it may get a bit wordy, but it is always convenient to have all of the information archived into one in order for you to assess them alongside one another :) *Truly Organic ingredients will be up soon!

Spirulina Bentonite Clay MaskAfter going vegan 3 years ago, not only have I now grown aware of the foods I am putting into my body, but my awareness has evolved to see that I also must be concerned with what I put onto my body as well. When I first went vegan, or "vegan" if I should put it, I was only vegan in terms of the food I was orally ingesting. I did not clear out my closet of non vegan products and I did not consider that my beauty and hygeine products, including makeup, shampoo, and face masks, could definitely not be vegan. In fact, about half of what I owned did not have the "this product was not tested on animals" assurance.

You all are always interested in natural, organic, and of course vegan products that I use, so I decided to round up my current favorite skin care products. There are even a lot of raw vegan and DIY options in the lists below! skincare 2Below are only products I have tried, as well as my daily routine at the end. Others that you may may be just as good, but I have used these all with success, and will be sticking to them because I am satisfied :) As usual, I would only recommend products that I have tried and loved! + I will also update this list with new items if I find more I enjoy <3 Share below if you have any recommendations! I hope this helps xo You all may have your own preferences, but I just advise that you try your best to purchase 100% vegan, cruelty-free, non-toxic, non-synthetic and organic products.

Axiology Natural Organic LipstickA few weeks ago, I received a Christmas present from my friend Ericka Rodriguez. She sent me a vegan lipstick from her line, Axiology Natural Organic Lipstick, in the color "Elusive", which is one shade above the darkest. You can see all of the shades here. I am so overwhelmingly pleased with this lipstick that I decided I would do a blog post on it so that you all can consider giving these a try.

No Harsh Chemicals, No Animal Testing!

The ingredients are all natural, organic, vegan and most importantly, pronounceable. There are not random fillers, non-vegan coloring or harsh chemicals, and these babies are pigmented by fruit and other earth pigments, like avocado butter and orange oil. I will discuss the ingredients below :) IMG_1227

Instead of tossing your papaya seeds after eating the fruit, make use of them! A lot of people don't know that you can actually use the Papaya Seeds. There are tons of recipes online, which utilize the ingredient for its peppery flavor. Give it a try! You can dry the seeds and use them just as you would peppercorns. Or, make a face mask! This is super simple, and you only need 2 ingredients. Raw Vegan Papaya Seed & Coconut Oil Facial sweetsimplevegan.com
