Organic-Dried-Fruit-Compote-e1418354881392-739x1024 After Thanksgiving, I realized that I had a lot of leftover dried fruit and I had to figure out what to do with it! Well, after getting my hands on a copy of the book Veganish: The Omnivores Guide To Plant-Based Cooking, I found a recipe! I read and reviewed this book on a previous post, which you can find here <3 I definitely recommend this book to those that are transitioning into a plant-based diet. It covers basic topics of transitioning as well as specifics in cooking techniques that will help you improve your skills in the kitchen as well. Dried Fruit Compote & Giveaway

Thick Chocolate Pumpkin Pie Smoothie (gf, low-fat )Mmmm, I've been going a little pumpkin crazy lately but I'm loving every moment of it. I've been making my fat-free Vegan Pumpkin Pie Soft Serve quite a lot lately, so I decided one morning that I would spice things up and add in a chocolate kick. This Thick Chocolate Pumpkin Smoothie recipe is sweet and simple idea that I know you all are going to love! thick chocolate pumpkin smoothie

Pumpkin PEcan MilkIn honor of the fall season the pumpkin craze that comes with it, along came this Pumpkin Pecan Milk! Creamy and dreamy, sweet, and such a rich flavor. To me, this tastes like a pumpkin spice latte, but BETTER! If you would like to make this fully raw, you can use fresh peeled pumpkin. Infused nut milks have been the craze in my home lately. I used to only create plain nut milks,  then "add flavorings" in the form of a smoothie, but I was inspired by Celena from Raw nut Milk to create herb and spice infused nut milks and flours (*see note below). 1Pumpkin PEcan Milk

Cinnamon Sugar Roasted ChickpeasSweet, crunchy, cinnamon-y, protein-packed and oh so delicious, this will be your new go-to snacks, I guarantee.

You can even try out different flavor combos if sweet snacks are not your thang. If you've checked out my ebook, Sweet Simple Vegan: Lunch and Dinner, I shared my favorite variation of these, crunchy chili chickpeas, paired with my detox soup! If you haven't checked it out, you can find it here.

beet chips The first time I ever tried beet chips was at the Hollywood Farmer's Market here in LA on Sundays. I sampled a ton of different beet chips, sweet and savory, and I fell in love. The chips were definitely overpriced, but at the time I did not have a dehydrator and assumed that that was the only way I could get my hands on these beautys. Well, I was wrong! This recipe uses the oven and will get you the same delicious and crispy beet chips that I fell in love with. I know that most of you do not have dehydrators, so I created a recipe that we all can make! If you DO want to use a dehydrator, review the note on the recipe just in case :)
