08 Jan Fresh n’ Lean Review + Healthy Eating Challenge 2015
A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to sample and review Fresh N' Lean meals for my readers here on my blog and Instagram, and now I am ready to share! First off, all of the opinions shared are my own, and I would only share if I really truly enjoyed Fresh N' Lean, which I can assure you, I DID!
Fresh N' Lean is a vegan meal delivery service that provides organic, vegan, low-sodium, low-fat, and preservtive-free breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Everything is made to order and ALL of their meals are nutrient-rich using locally sourced, in-season produce. They are made in Chino Hills, not too far from my home in Los Angeles. What I love the most is that they use minimal oil and salt. In taste testing 5 different meals with my family ,whom I should add are not vegan, and are in fact eat eaters that eat a more healthy version of a standard american diet, loved them. My mom and I even fought over who would eat what for work lunches, haha! My parents agrees that no additional seasonings were needed. On New Year's Eve, my mom and I thought it would be fun to create a new, healthy and vegan hot chocolate recipe for the years to come. What I came up with was this superfood hot chocolate, a recipe that is definitely here to stay.
Instead of making the usual savory kale chips, I got the idea of using my

Every year for Christmas, someway or another, my family ends up with a boxed Fruit Cake. Have you ever tried these? If you haven't, I'd advise you to pass on it and try this Holiday Fruit Bread instead. Not only is this recipe easier than the traditional recipe, it is also gluten-free, refined sugar-free and delicious.
Happy Holidays, and Merry Christmas to all of you who celebrate it :)
I am going to be honest and say that I have never tried real eggnog, but if it compares at all to this, then I guess I now love 'egg' nog.
